Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine, a singer-composer who is known for his unique blend that combines soul jazz R&B as well as R&B. She has appeared on stages all over the world, from Broadway and The Democratic National Convention to the European party and concert scenes. Sunshine has been born Denise White. Her birthplace is Chester Pennsylvania, where she began her career in music by singing and playing piano in church. She attended Spellman College in Atlanta where she began her education within the city's R&B scene. The Fighting Temptations The first single to feature her vocals was Stalk You A house 12 released only in Japan The song has been remixed numerous times by producers, and has become a part of her live set. Her voice has also been a part of vocals for The Fighting Temptations' soundtrack. She was then hired as the primary keyboardist in Tyler Perry's stage play Meet the Browns. In 2007 Grammy and Tony Award-winning singer Jennifer Holliday sought her out to be the director of choral for the play's theatrical version of Dreamgirls during the National Black Arts Festival in Atlanta. Sunshine was brought to the attention of all of the country during 4 performances per day during the 2008 Democratic National Convention. Sunshine was later asked to sing in the presence of the President Barack Obama at his inauguration.
